A Word About Essential Oils
The essential oil of a plant is its soul. These are gentle healers, quickly absorbed through the skin, working with the body--never against it. In this way, herbs and flowers work their gentle magic to heal, nourish, rejuvenate, balance, and restore tired bodies and spirits.
Body & Facial Oils
These herbal facial and body oils are natural carrier oils blended with essential oils and/or infused herbs. Any skin type can benefit from these oils. They are suitable for the bath or massage and as lotions or perfumes. The herbs used are chosen for their therapeutic and aromatic qualities – healing to body and spirit. Several blends available, including facial oils for dry and mature skin which work to reduce the appearance of tiny wrinkles.
Floral Water/Skin Toners
Infused botanicals and essential oils aged in cosmetic grade alcohol and distilled water. Suitable for use as skin fresheners, bath splashes or astringents. Some of these floral waters are from recipes dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries.
Bath Salts, Milk Bath, Scrubs
Essential oils work their magic in a warm bath. These are mineral and/or sea salts, powdered milk, powdered oats, etc., to which essential oils and dried botanicals are added to soothe and relax.
Herbal Creams and Lotions
These herbal creams are made from natural ingredients like beeswax, lanolin, almond oil, goat’s milk, and rose water. Essential oils or infused oils are then added. These can be used on hands, face, or body to soothe, moisturize, and reduce the appearance of tiny wrinkles. No mineral oil is used. Some of these recipes date to the 1700's.
